Natural Cures For Mood Swings

by emily on March 22, 2010

Natural cures for mood swings are not often talked about in the public square. Mainly because the FDA doesn’t allow anyone to claim anything that isn’t a drug to be a “cure.” You’ve undoubtedly heard about the drugs that treat such mental disorders as depression and schizophrenia.

However, Western medicine has left the definite impression that if you are a female who suffers from monthly mood swings, or a teenager with ADD, or an adult with manic depression, you may be able to relieve the symptoms with drugs, but will otherwise have to live with the problem for the rest of your life (or, in the first case, until menopause).

Which is a sad deception indeed.

The fact is, you can not only treat emotional and mental disorders naturally, but you can even make them go away – forever. Following is a list of just some of the ways that will effectively treat, and perhaps even cure, mood swings and related problems.

1. Eliminate processed foods.

For some people, getting brain stimulants – known as excitotoxins – out of the diet instantly solves the problem. MSG and aspartame are the two most notorious excitotoxins, and should be avoided like the plague whether you suffer from mood swings or not.

2. Supplement with magnesium.

Research has shown that women who take extra magnesium before their period have fewer and milder mood swings. I have personally found this to be true. A few months ago, I began taking Liquiminerals Concentrace. This is a trace mineral from sea water that is high in magnesium, and available in any health food store. The next month I had fewer and milder mood swings, and no restless legs (which is the actual reason I began taking the Concentrace).

3. Use pure essential oils.

Several of these powerful plant cures – including lavender, chamomile and rosemary – have a long history of being used to calm and bring on feelings of well-being. The most effective oils are those that are 100% pure, which are extremely difficult to find in the United States. You can find information on how to find the best line of organic essential oils on this post and on this blog

4. Drink Masaji (a product of Be Young Essential Oils).

You can read my testimony about this powerful antioxidant drink – as well as how to order it - here. In addition, another woman has testified that it transformed her young adult son. Diagnosed with learning disabilities and ADD as a first grader, he struggled all the way through high school graduation and suffered from constant depression. After starting to take Masaji, his personality did a 180. Now, he jokes around, is fun-loving and is getting A’s and B’s in his college courses, grades that were always well beyond his reach. The power in Masaji is its extreme nutrient density, and many time emotional and mental disorders are a result of mineral deficiencies.

Of course, there are other natural ways to treat and cure mood swings, depression and other related problems. But these are some of the most powerful. If you know anyone with any mental or emotional disorder, seriously look into implement these recommendations. Their life will be dramatically changed for the better.
