Weight Loss Success Step #6: Cleanse Your Body

There is no denying it: we live in a toxic world. Even organic foods and body care product ingredients are exposed to some level of toxicity form the air and water – which get into our bodies when we eat or use them. The human body is a wonderful machine and can eliminate a good many toxins that get into it. But it was designed to handle naturally-occurring toxins, like the alkaloids found in some vegetables or the traces of cyanide found in some fruits.

Even there, your body can only effectively deal with a certain amount of toxins. Over the past few decades, however, people have introduced synthetic toxins that your body has no idea what to do with. If your body can handle some of these toxins, it can handle the overload that it is being exposed to every day.

In addition, a true cleanse will require a brief fasting period of one or two days. This gives your digestive system a chance to really clean out.
