Natural Gum Pain Relief
So did my neighbor’s granddaughter, who had just had a new round of rubber bands put on her braces. My neighbor called me up the other day, remembering that some time ago I’d told her that clove oil would help for mouth pain.
“I know it will help for toothaches,” I replied, “and it may work for gum pain, but I’m not sure. I do know that birch oil would help.”
I know this because I have receded gums behind both my back-most molars, which has exposed the respective nerves. Most of the time they don’t bother me, but for some reason a particular time of the month causes my gums to become more sensitive. The nerves get agitated, but a drop of birch oil behind each tooth brings instant relief for a decent amount of time.
Then my neighbor acted as though she might run to the nearest health food store for some birch oil.
“You can do that,” I cautioned, “but it may not work as well. I’m not trying to sell you anything, but the Be Young oils aren’t diluted, and the oils at the store are. I’d be happy to let you borrow my bottle until she feels better.”
I say I’m not trying to sell her – or you – anything, but truth be told, sure I am. I am trying to sell you the idea that there is always a better solution to any malady than drugs or surgery. I am also trying to sell you on the best natural remedy out there, completely undiluted and chemical-free essential oils, whether for gum pain or cancer. If that ticks you off, excuse me for caring.
Back to the story. “Let me call you back in a little bit,” my neighbor said, and hung up.
The phone rang just as I was finishing preparing our evening meal. It was my neighbor. “Can I come down and get the bottle?”
We met in the alley a couple minutes later. I warned her to warn her granddaughter that it might sting at first, but that the subsequent relief would much overpower any stinging.
About fifteen minutes later we had just sat down to eat and I had put a forkful of salad in my mouth, when the phone rang again. I guessed who it was before I saw the caller ID.
“I wouldn’t say that you’re her best friend,” began my neighbor, laughing.
I had a hunch someone had just been relieved of some serious gum pain. “It worked?” I asked.
Indeed, it had. Even though the stinging did produce some inital protests, her granddaughter reported that although there was still pain, it was much more tolerable. Ice on her mouth and Cholorseptic had done nothing for her inflamed and painful gums.
The birch oil did. Try it, for gum pain or any other kind of inflammation. And be sure to contact me to find out how to get the best brand at the best price.
